• Alternative Character Interpretation: Willie is painted as an evil Demonic Dummy, but could it just be that he was simply fed-up with the underachieving Jerry losing control of his career and seeing his life spiral down the drain with constant alcoholism and after gaining sentience, tried to switch places with him to save the act? Supporting this is the Equivalent Exchange in the end with the two switching places with Willie as the ventriloquist. Willie didn't hurt or "kill" Jerry, and one could argue that Willie may have actually saved Jerry's life in the end.
