• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Miss Hoover's behaviour at work is a result of poor living conditions and chronic back pain. However, Lisa is still right to call her a "hack". Miss Hoover is still the same teacher who skives off work, admitted that she only does it for the money, bullies a student with an intellectual disability in front of the class, and has openly stated that she doesn't know how to do her job. The reason why Lisa got a B-minus? Miss Hoover found it easier to just give all her students a B-minus than select a different grade for each one, something that could have affected their future if the circumstances were different.
