- Catharsis Factor: Homer defeating Jessica Lovejoy's robot is satisfying after Jessica had previously framed Bart for stealing from the church's collection plate, and gotten away with it.
- Crosses the Line Twice: The Snowball II subplot is so absurdly over the top that you can’t help but laugh.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Snowball II's death. The concept of a death of a family pet who's been around since the start of the show could have worked as the main emotional focus of an episode by itself, but due to it being relegated to a side-plot it's underexplored and ultimately glossed over by the end.
- Woolseyism: The Canadian French dub translates the "He's killing him softly with his saw" line as "Il l'a envoyé scier". This literally means "He sent him to saw", but is phonetically close to "Il l'a envoyé chier", which literally means "he sent him to shit" but essentially means "he told him to fuck off".
