YMMV / The Loud House S 2 E 20 Yes Man Friend Or Faux

"Yes-Man"

  • Fridge Logic: If Lincoln wanted those SMOOCH tickets and all the other sisters wanted their own things, why didn't Lincoln just show them how he is "the Master of Convincing" before telling them to play to their own strengths?
  • Heartwarming Moments: When Lincoln ultimately couldn't go to the SMOOCH concert, all of his sisters brought the concert to Lincoln, including both them and SMOOCH themselves singing about how much of a great brother he is. Arguably, one of the kindest, considerate, selfless and grateful things they’ve ever done for him so far.

"Friend or Faux"

  • Alternative Character Interpretation: Even if she means well, Ms. Shrinivas giving Lisa an "F" for not having friends seems somewhat unfair. By this logic, any kid who gets unfairly isolated will get a poor grade, while any kid who only has fair-weather friends will get a good grade.
    • There's also the fact that the students are given report cards without warning. Most teachers are expected to let students know if they are having problems to avoid failing a subject. It's the whole point of progress reports.
    • On a related note, Lisa saying that she views her classmates as "co-workers" isn't unreasonable at all and the importance of developing social skills in school is to prepare students for when they have to work with people as adults in their professional life. Her viewing them as "test-subjects," on the other hand, is a lot less sympathetic...
