• Alternative Character Interpretation:
  • Did Silver Spoon genuinely want to make fun of Sweetie Belle over her sister when she returned to school or was she scared that Diamond Tiara would lash out on her if she tried to interfere, since Diamond Tiara was the only one to mock Sweetie Belle before she came back to school, while Silver Spoon asked Cheerilee if she was friends with Rarity in "Ripples"?
  • When Sweetie Belle beat up Diamond Tiara, did Silver Spoon get Cheerilee because she was scared for Diamond Tiara's life or did she want to stop the fight because she realized that she and Diamond Tiara went too far?
• Moral Event Horizon:
  • In The Word is Fear, Blossom killing Sweetie Belle (her own mother, who did nothing but try to protect her) is what get the princesses to treat her like an irredeemable monster.
  • For Celestia, the moment that puts her into He Who Fights Monsters territory is when she orders the execution of Battle Charge, a guard who allowed Blossom to murder Shining Armor because she was holding his family hostage. After this, both Luna and Cadance are convinced that she has gone off the deep end.
• Tear Jerker: In chapter one when Blossom first is given a room in the royal palace to live in, she finds a large stuffed pony and turns it into a doppelganger of her mother which she uses to make believe that her mother is holding her in her forelegs while she sleeps.
• The Woobie: Rarity... or at least, she is in the A Shadow Hangs Overhead sub-universe. Not only did she have to deal with the fact that she killed somepony, as a foal no less, but the police are going out of their way to make her miserable, and she's having a bad day to rival Ganta Igarashi. To any non-Deadman Wonderland fans, by the way, that is not a statement one can make lightly.
  • Sweetie Belle is this big time, especially in "Broken Blossom".
  • Joyous Blossom, as well. She suffered a lot of PTSD after what Golden Necklace and Fire Ruby did to her and what she did to them.
