YMMV / The Flash 2014 S 8 E 4 Armageddon Part Four

• Alternate Character Interpretation: Would Thawne actually mind causing Armaggeddon? Or is it just Pragmatic Villainy, given that he can't be the hero if the world's been destroyed?
• Ass Pull: The fact that Iris recalled some of her feelings for Barry even though she is merely an alternate timeline version while everyone else has no connection to Barry at all and therefore does not remember any friendship with him seems somewhat forced.
• Fridge Logic: Quite frankly, a lot of things would have to be changed in the timeline in order for Barry and Eobard to effectively switch lives and personalities with each other completely (especially the 'Barry becoming the evil Reverse-Flash' part), and in order to enjoy this episode you have to just go with that conceit and not think about it too much.
• Romantic Plot Tumor: Chester and Allegra's relationship drama goes unresolved for 10 years and then suddenly becomes a big deal when this episode happens. Not only does it not stick, since this timeline is erased and Barry (the only hero who returns to the correct timeline and could have helped their present-day counterparts get together) doesn't witness their conversations, but it takes focus away from Ryan Choi's development as the future Atom.
• Spoiled by the Format: The Stinger with Thawne at the end would not come as a surprise, since Armageddon is a five-parter; this episode is only Part 4.
• Take That, Scrappy!: Darhk calls Chillblaine "Chill-Lame".
