- The Cast Showoff: Barry Williams – his voice having passed puberty and neared its adult pitch starting with this episode – sings for the first time. He does a nice job with a corny song called "'Til I Met You." Williams and his on-screen siblings would start a singing group a year later, and it would be a recurring plot theme for the rest of the series.
- Method Acting: Barry Williams has written about how his not faking his smoking aggravated a smoking habit he had already developed shortly before the Brady Bunch began production; ultimately not being able to quit for good until over a decade later. He later mentioned that of the six Brady child stars, Mike Lookinland was the only one who never did smoke cigarettes. However, he developed an alcohol problem later, which he kicked after he got into a DUI wreck in 1997.
