• Alternative Character Interpretation: The author does this to Malefor.
  • To elaborate, Malefor got demonically possessed which caused him to go on his large spree of genocide and destruction.
• Heartwarming Moments: In the second story, Demex hugs Josh some time after they manage to reunite with each other in the Dragon Realms.
• Once Original, Now Common: This fic, along with A New Dawn, are labeled as the first major adventure fics in the Spyro archive. Though it actually takes place during the events of The Legend of Spyro, a fact that saves it from coming under fire of those sick of the "post DotD template", which A New Dawn tends to get hit a lot for causing, the fact that it features a Trapped in TV Land protagonist didn't help it any in later years, where Trapped in TV Land fics became so common that most writers and non-Wish-Fulfillment readers can't stand them anymore, and often treat this fic as the cause of all the 'Human-turned-Dragon' fics in the archive. To say it's not looked upon all that favorably anymore because of that would be a bit of an... understatement.
