• Fridge Brilliance: The only topic that the Fredriksson sisters can't agree on in the first book is whether their ancestors old gun was taken after the Battle of Breitenfeld or if it was used in the battle of Lützen. Since the battle of Lützen took place after Breitenfeld, meaning that their theories don't conflict, both are probably right.
• Only the Creator Does It Right: Sort of. While the 1972 version is mostly considered good, or at least OK, the 1989 version, whose production Holmberg was more directly involved with, is generally regarded as the best adaption.
