• Awesome Ego: Kiel. He may be a bit arrogant and self-centered but he really is genuinely heroic and he's pretty badass with or without magic.
  • Doctor Verity is a villainous example. He freaking took over and nearly destroyed two planets and he still manages to have time to talk about how great he is in between.
• Moral Event Horizon: Dr. Verity definitely crossed this when he planned to kill Kiel (actually Owen) though he might have crossed it beforehand in his own book series.
  • The Magister also crosses this when he plans to take control of Non-Fictional People.
  • Nobody crosses it when he successfully separates Bethany and separates the two worlds. If not then, then his plan to destroy all of the fictional worlds and start over is this.
