  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Ariel keeps calling attention to her breasts. Teri Hatcher's character in Seinfeld is also proud, saying, "Yes, they're real, and they're spectacular!"
  • Values Dissonance:
    • While Montana is definitely a nasty piece of work, The Reveal of her biological sex as male at the end of the film is treated as a disgusting and embarassing Take That!, which can come across as transphobic to modern viewers; her having to detransition and perform under her deadname to get acting work comes across doubly so. Interesting to add, it says something about this film’s Mainstream Obscurity when the similarly transphobic plot twist from the later Ace Ventura: Pet Detective is better known than this one.
    • Try to imagine the backstory of Celeste and Jeffrey today with the genders reversed and still Played for Laughs, seeing as Celeste is still the lead of her show with considerable influence over its storylines, having had Jeffrey fired simply for their romance going sour.
