• Harsher in Hindsight: Jen and Courtney get the gang out of trouble in this episode by unearthing an old photo of Ron wearing only a thong, then threatening to make the photo public and severely humiliate him if he refuses to let the gang out of the slammer. While depicted as Jen and Courtney managing to save the gang, the slew of nude photo leaks and hacks in the 2010's would make any such situation being portrayed as both amusing and good would be outright impossible today.
• Heartwarming Moments: While they do still have a bit of a rivalry in later episode, it's pretty sweet to see Jen and her sister patch things up and work together to get Jen's friends out of the mall-jail. Also, after the gang realizes that Courtney isn't as cool as they thought she was, they (presumably) patch things up with Jen and, at the end of the episode, are back to being friends with her instead of Courtney.
