• Growing the Beard: While the band still sees The Disfigurement of Existence as a major source of growth and the point where they started to figure out how to really pull off what they were going for from a musical standpoint, they will point to Vital Deprivation as the point where they really matured as a band, became more thoughtful and careful songwriters, and stopped using giant breakdowns to fill space or patch up parts that weren't coming out right. Dave will personally also credit it as the impetus for developing his own style and making the songs his, rather than just trying to emulate CJ.
• Signature Song: "Cesspool of Ignorance" and/or "Death Whistle". Zigzagged in that they do not consistently play the former at this point in time.
