- Unintentional Period Piece: The film was made in Kassel, a city affected a lot by both WW2 and the Wirtschaftswunder, so it features a lot of construction sites, interestingly quirky clothing, newly-found wealth and Lebenslust, as well as state-of-the-art architecture featuring Plattenbau buildings, glass lifts, symmetric marble facades, minimalistic wood panelling and elegantly curved plastic furniture - most of which is generally seen as ugly and pretentious post-war kitsch nowadays.
