- Visual Effects of Awesome: The effects of the short are pretty spectacular, with a special note to when Shadow's quills light up. The fact it isn't that far off the effects from a multi-million dollar movie is nothing short of impressive, especially when compared to the infamously ropey CG of the "original" Sonic fan film.
- What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: Despite being a Sonic the Hedgehog Fan Film, it's particularly based on the Dark and Troubled Past of Shadow the Hedgehog, which includes the Death of a Child. YouTube still marked both the original version and the English dub for kids anyway; this is something Youtube's algorithm sadly automatically does with Sonic content. It was later reinstated for general audiences 17 days after its premiere.
