- Base-Breaking Character: Pondus himself. He has his funny moments, but how likable he is depends on the viewer. He's either a likable everyman pointing out the idiocy of the world he lives in, or a Jerkass who looks down on everyone who doesn't share his interests.
- The Woobie: Oh, Ivar... While Øverli tried his best to convince us that Jokke deserved the Butt-Monkey status he used to have, Ivar is little else than a Cosmic Plaything.
