• Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The little girl singing songs in the woods by the thugs' hideout. Presumably the daughter of one of the thugs Jill is going to meet up with, but we never get to see her reaction to Jill presumably killing her father when she goes on her Roaring Rampage of Revenge.
• Esoteric Happy Ending: In his doomed attempt to keep multiple mutually contradictory promises — to his wife, to his boss, and to Jill — Ed ends up letting everyone down and losing everything. He wakes up in the ruins of his house, now with no job, no wife, no friends or allies, no money and nowhere to go — only to pick up his beloved vinyl Syd Barrett record and burst out in a grin that — against all odds — it has survived, and so has he.
