• Abandon Shipping: Most of the people who used to support Kuroha to stay with Haru changed their minds due to her manipulative personality.
• Captain Obvious Reveal: The true identity of "Shiro" is blatantly obvious. Not only is "picture of a long lost childhood friend who turns out to be closer than they think" a common trope for the genre, the exact same twist was even in the last big romcom to star the three lead actors.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Kuroha gets this treatment from the fandom for a lot of her manipulative behavior. She rejected Sueharu in front of the entire school during the school's confession festival, but is still shown to have feelings for him in later episodes. A lot of fans see her as an Entitled Bitch for rejecting Sueharu and expecting him to still have feelings for her. In an attempt to get back on his good side, she makes things worse by lying about having amnesia and not remembering the rejection. When she gets caught in this lie, Sueharu demands to know why she lied in the first place. When she refuses to answer, Sueharu ends up angry with her, though the conflict between the two of them is treated as a case of both sides being equally at fault, despite Sueharu never doing anything that manipulative or deceiful to Kuroha.
• The Un-Twist: A lot of fans figured out Kuroha was faking her amnesia, even before it was confirmed.
