- Base-Breaking Character: Nick is basically the embodiment of the divisiveness of Deathmatch Wrestling in general. He's either a brilliant embodiment of the utter brutality of the style, or a no-talent sideshow attraction who's only good at bleeding.
- Crazy Is Cool: Basically his entire appeal. As one of the most prolific deathmatch wrestlers in North America, he's been involved in some downright ludicrous spots. His complete fearlessness, combined with his generally amicable attitude towards fans, is what makes him a hero in the eyes of the GCW fandom.
- Never Live It Down:
- Both in and out of kayfabe, some people still see Nick Gage as just being the guy who robbed a bank.
- On a lighter (?) note, he's also the crazy bastard who actually died for a minute or two from blood loss from a broken light tube, and still tried to get back into the ring.
