  • Broken Base: Much like Cognitive Dissonance, the hack's reception is somewhat mixed within the fandom, though unlike the former, this is mostly focused on the gameplay. While some appreciate the improvements on giving Jeff extra inventory space and making weaker enemies more of a challenge, others feel the hack's substantial difficulty boost can be too much to handle.
  • Player Punch: The postgame content after Gyiyg's defeat drags Ness away from his victory as Porky drops him into a hellish final dungeon, leaving him to deal with hordes of enemies alone, separated from the friends he made on his journey. Additionally, when defeated by Ness at the end of the Paradox dungeon, Porky himself expresses sadness and fear over becoming Ness' enemy for good.
  • That One Level: The Paradox, the postgame dungeon Porky drags you to in the post-credits sequence. While you still have the same levels, items, and equipment as you used to defeat Gyiyg, Ness is the only party member, severely limiting your battle options and inventory space, and unlike Magicant, the Paradox appears as a very literal Hell with swarms of powerful enemies and only one place to heal at the very beginning of the dungeon. To make matters worse, the dungeon itself is mazelike and hard to navigate, every room coloured a searing red and filled with twisting and intersecting paths, and in the postgame, the Paradox itself is your only chance to level grind.
