- Padding: The film takes some time out to attend David's wedding and for a bizarre scene where he sings a song and starts screaming, only to pretend that he was just joking when people get upset. None of this has any effect on the rest of the plot.
- Values Dissonance: The film's treatment of gay culture as creepy and lascivious would not fly in modern times.
