  • Unintentional Period Piece: "White Kids Love Hip-Hop" mentions Unreal Tournament, and the ending rant by Andy Merrill expresses dissatisfaction at bad games at Blockbuster and forgetting what he wanted to get at a record store. Unreal Tournament came out between 1999 and 2001 note , several record stores started closing down around 2007, with significantly fewer of them existing as of 2015, and Blockbuster filed for bankruptcy in September 2010, placing the writing of the song sometime in that eight to eleven year timeframe. Indeed, Knowing Is Half the Hassle (the album the track was released on) was released in 2003.
