• That One Boss: While the game becomes easier after the first few dungeons due to the increased healing options, the second battle with the Black Blade is one of the hardest late game bosses. This battle requires the player to defeat the boss before Valerie is defeated, which means they can't just use hit-and-run tactics or stall while regenerating health like with other bosses.
• That One Level: The Arctic Lake is one of the hardest stages because it pits Raven against multiple casting enemies in almost every round, and his only real way to interrupt casts is to use Field. Failing to interrupt the enemies' spells will result in them filling the screen with projectiles and damage zones.
