- Cliché Storm: Most of the characters and story beats are typical of the shojo genre: a bubbly main lead who transfers to a new high school at the start of the story, and quickly becomes the target of bullying by the popular girls thanks to a misunderstanding regarding the popular boy. The boxes for "possible romance between the female lead and the popular boy" and "makes friends with a pair of quirky outcast classmates" is likewise checked off.
