• Alternative Character Interpretation: The entire novel is focused on exploring DIO's psyche through a nuanced viewpoint of himself. Though some people are given alternative interpretations of their actions as well.
  • Dario, according to DIO's thoughts, put the symptoms of his condition on the letter not as an explanation to George that he was dying, but rather it was a last act of spite towards DIO, giving him evidence to incarcerate his son as payback for murdering him.
  • George Joestar I, rather than being unaware of the poisoning, was deliberately taking it in hopes of Dio having a change of heart and being disappointed that it wouldn't be the case.
