- The Woobie: Elliot. He's been bullied throughout his childhood, his father is utterly disinterested in him, his mother walked out on them when he was born to remain in the Borderlands, and isn't even interested in getting to know him when he realizes who she is, no one takes his love for Serene seriously even when they're dating, and he has to live with the frequent fear that his only friends in the world may be killed in war. It's not hard to understand why he's built up suck a prickly wall around himself.
