• Archive Panic: It ran for a whopping 2,343 episodes. Counting The New Howdy Doody Show, which ran for 130 episodes, the entire thing would be 2,473 episodes.
• Magic Franchise Word: Older viewers might remember Chief Thunderthud saying "Cowabunga!", which actually originates from this show, and proceeded to eventually become a Magic Franchise Word for several other series.
• Tear Jerker: The end of the final episode, where Clarabell reveals he is able to speak and uses the only chance he has left to do so. At first, Clarabell seems reluctant to speak, and a drumroll occurs for a few seconds before he can finally spit it out: "Goodbye, kids." Just this goodbye alone can be disheartening given that Clarabell almost appears to be holding in some sad emotions here, but this is immediately followed by the end credits, which have a music box version of "Auld Lang Syne" playing over them in this episode.
