• One-Scene Wonder: Annie, the leader of the girls' dorm. She protects Lyra and successfully lies to Mrs. Coulter's face about why her bed was empty. She does this just after instructing all the girls on how to not draw Mrs. Coulter's attention, and after Lyra told them all what Bolvangar is actually doing to the children. She paints a target on her back and never backs down. Badass.
