YMMV / Green Lantern: Earth One

• Gateway Series: The series is widely considered one of the best entry points into Green Lantern of the modern age, despite — or perhaps because of — it being a loose-canon Elseworld retelling of the series' mythology. Earth One wisely compresses much of the potentially dense and overwhelming mythos of the series and provides a different, but more down-to-earth, origin story for Hal Jordan and the escapades that lead to him becoming a Green Lantern, taking its time in easing the audience into the strangeness of the Corps while settling the obvious foundation for the campy, colorful superheroics to come.
