• Crosses the Line Twice: A screaming, traumatized young girl tied up with duct tape with her parents-who've been bludgeoned close to death-? Doesn't really scream funny? But when Stewie and Brian realize she's an only child and they're in the wrong house? Hysterical.
• Fridge Brilliance: It's perfectly understandable that Cleveland would want to punch someone in the face if his only Christmas present was a gym membership, given that the last time he went to the gym, Quagmire failed to spot for him and he dropped the barbell in his mouth.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The concept of the world's greed destroying Santa and Brian and Stewie saving him could make for an interesting episode. While it is shown just how impossible subbing for Santa would be in real life, the rest of the plot is mostly limited to Brian and Stewie bickering and beating people up in their own home.
• Unintentional Period Piece: A minor one. Santa makes an offhand comment about how hard it is to make an iPod and that he has orders for millions. This was in 2010; in the late 2010s and beyond, iPods have gone the way of VHS tapes and pagers, being replaced by iPads, iPhones, and other smart devices. There is even a joke about the iPod's decline in a future Christmas episode where Peter buys Meg a headphone jack "for the iPods they don't make anymore".
