• Unintentionally Sympathetic:
  • Peter is depicted as being in the wrong for refusing to wash his hand, and that's fair early on, but by the time his hand has its own ecosystem with sentient life on it, it kind of makes sense that he'd be reluctant to clean it. He even mourns the destruction of countless organisms and an entire advanced civilization when his hand is washed by force.
  • Brian falls under this. Though he shouldn’t have torn Rupert to shreds, his frustrations on how Stewie would favor a non-sentient teddy bear over him are actually legitimate when one realizes that the points he made about how Rupert isn’t real are correct.
