YMMV / Ed Edd N Eddy S 5 E 9 Too Smart For His Own Ed

• Catharsis Factor: Seeing the kids receive failing scores on their tests and assignments is very satisfying to see after seeing them bully the Eds for seasons with not enough repercussions.
• Karmic Overkill: Granted, Edd's more insufferable traits had gotten a bit out of hand during this season, so this episode was likely dedicated to addressing that issue. But it can still feel uncomfortable watching everything he goes through in this episode, especially since it required most of the other kids taking a level in dumbass to make the plot work.
• Informed Wrongness: This happens with Eddy. The Cul De Sac kids hold major Idiot Ball in regards to believing Ed is smart (even his own sister Sarah) but act entitled when they receive F's on their papers blaming the "Egghead Ed" scam. However, Eddy didn't decide to scam them until they had already bought into believing Ed was smart and went to Ed for help first, while holding the Jerkass Ball toward Edd for misspelling one word caused by stage fright, even though Edd gave them the option of academic assistance free of charge. All Eddy did was take advantage of the kids coming to Ed for help. Sarah is even about to pummel Eddy until Jimmy convinces her Ed's "logic" for solving the problem was right. So, Eddy receiving a beatdown by the kids comes off as Kick the Dog moment since he did nothing wrong (outside how he treats Edd)
