YMMV / Digimon World Re:Digitize

Go To

  • Broken Base: The design of Rina Shinomiya caused this due to how skimpy it is for her age.
  • Improved Second Attempt: The game makes an attempt to address many of the flaws of the original Digimon World game and make it more approachable.
    • The game gives you a list of Digivolutions with actual tangible hints on how to obtain Digivolutions you haven't gotten yet, which makes the Digivolution system much less cryptic. Additionally, there are many more Champion Digimon with more lenient requirements to the point that it's unlikely a player will get Numemon unless they're actively trying to.
    • File City starts out with a shop that contains items like Portable Potties and Auto-Pilots right from the get-go, which means that you aren't nearly as chained to the immediate surroundings of the city and can be more comfortable exploring further away.
    • The window of time for a Digimon to poop once the prompt shows up has been greatly extended, meaning you are less likely to get a care mistake if you don't have Portable Potties on you or are far away from a toilet.
    • The prices for Birdramon's transportation services have been greatly reduced compared to DW1, making getting around the map less prohibitive if you don't have a ton of money.
  • Surprisingly Improved Sequel: In comparison to the original Digimon World games, especially 2 to 4.
