- Fan Nickname: The dress-wearing entity isn't named (at least initially, until the "Recollection Ending") but MatPat calls her the "Witch", said nickname is being used as a placeholder (for this wiki, anyway).
- Nightmare Fuel:The Husks and everything about them, ranging from their overall appearance, that weird sounds that they make, or the fact they're what's left of the human being post-CT and were experimented on and mutilated. Worse is that you can't run from them.
- Tear Jerker:
- The Best Ending. You don't free the Husks and you don't give the Witch her other eye, instead you wait until the laboratory explodes, killing you, the Witch, and the Husks, destroying everything and everyone, rather than continuing in the aftermath of World War V.Subtitle: "Everyone closed their eyes"
- The Recollection Ending, as once you find out that Cecily Newman is the Witch (giving her the other eye), you jump off the platform, as the laboratory starts to detonate, Dying as Yourself.Subtitle: "You opened your eyes"
