- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The beginning of the film has a running gag where Brian keeps telling his students "9:20!", meaning they have to report to his office at 9:20 for violating his rules in some way. The filmmakers missed an opportunity to bookend the film by having Brian yell "9:20!" to Laura as he is being taken away in the police car.
