• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: The reader is supposed to feel sorry for Gyul, as he was abandoned by his mother and needs someone there for him at all times. However, his behavior after Ttalgi breaks up with him is borderline sociopathic. He keeps demanding to talk to her, goes so far as to practically stalk her and then gets Hanbae's help in order to emotionally manipulate Ttalgi into getting back together with him, while also working on sabotaging her rather happy relationship with Hongdu. And nobody really calls him out on this behavior: Hanbae encourages it, Ttalgi is trying very hard to not deal with Gyul anymore and Cherry actually thinks that, if Gyul is trying to turn over a new leaf, he should be given a chance.
