* UnintentionallyUnsympathetic: The reader is supposed to feel sorry for Mandarin Kim, as he was [[ParentalAbandonment abandoned]] by his mother and [[LivingEmotionalCrutch needs]] someone there for him at all times. However, his behavior after Strawberry Shin breaks up with him is borderline sociopathic. He keeps demanding to talk to her, goes so far as to practically stalk her and ''then'' gets Pear Khang's help in order to ''emotionally manipulate'' Strawberry into getting back together with him, while also working on ''sabotaging her rather happy relationship with Walnut''. And nobody really calls him out on this behavior: Pear encourages it, Strawberry is trying very hard to not deal with Mandarin anymore and Cherry actually thinks that, if Mandarin is trying to turn over a new leaf, he should be given a chance.
