• Informed Wrongness: Phoebe being asked to use a spell from the Grimoire to resurrect Cole is framed as something she is supposed to be justified in refusing, even though the alternative is Cole facing Cessation of Existence and no afterlife.
• Special Effects Failure: In the HD remaster, for the demonic wasteland scenes, the creases and seams on the green screen being used are visible.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Noted as the start of Phoebe slipping into this and getting worse in Season 5. Cole is trapped in the demonic wasteland because he had die to get rid of the Source for good. As he's a half-human demon, he's able to resist getting devoured by the beast, but if he does then he also misses out on an afterlife. He became the Source unknowingly, thinking he would just be helping Phoebe, and nearly gave the powers up before Phoebe vanquished the wizard in the process. So Phoebe simply won't use dark magic because it would be an inconvenience when she is literally condemning the man who sacrificed everything for her to eternal hell after he had to be killed as a result of her actions.
