• Nightmare Fuel: Some of Ronald's deaths are pretty graphic, such as him being buried alive in a trench collapse, electrocuted by a frayed wire in a half-demolished house, breaking his skull on a concrete wall after falling off a pipe, crushed beneath a pile of bricks, and drowning in an abandoned quarry. This is not helped by the fact that his cousins just sit there watching each time nor is it helped by the reveal that the deaths all turn out to be in Ronald's imagination.
• Spiritual Successor: To Apaches. As stated in the description on the main page, it's pretty much that same film transplanted into an urban setting. Like Apaches, it ends with a list of names of children killed in real-life accidents within the previous year.
