• The Woobie:
  • Belle can be a little annoying sometimes when she talks too much about her 'maman', or her ugliness, but it's impossible to not feel sorry for all the things she goes through. Especially when she is tasked to clean the garden all by herself (with her hands still hurt from the moment she gripped on some vines to not fall to her death), or after Princess Belle wakes up.
  • As an idole, Isolde is frequently shunned and mistreated by the staff; the Doctor is forced to make her wear a muzzle and occasionally locked up when the castle dwellers complain too much about her presence; also, her temptatives of talking to Belle are initially rejected because the girl is terrified of idols, as part of her trauma. After the Faceless Arc, however, things change completely. Not only she makes friends with Belle, but also with Giselle, from all people, and is allowed to walk around freely.
  • Even Beast has his pitiable moments, when you learn about his past or sees him cope with the consequences of his past actions, like when he sees what's left from the people of Issus. Particularly when he strips his pride to kneel in front of La Vouivre and you see how far he has gone to try and save everyone form the curse.
