YMMV / Arrow S 6 E 13 The Devils Greatest Trick

• Ass Pull: The crew was completely open about how they planned for Cayden James to be the true Big Bad through the whole season, but then Michael Emerson refused to stay that long, so they had to quickly come up with a way for him to be replaced, and luckily Ricardo Diaz's underdevelopment gave them an opportunity for a plausible if not quite believable exit for James.
• Moral Event Horizon:
  • Dinah attacks Quentin not once but twice when he tries to stop her from killing Laurel.
  • It turns out Diaz crossed this long ago, when he hired Carl Iskov to kill a teenager, simply because he knew the effect it would have on his father and sought to exploit that.
• Shocking Moments: Diaz is the one who killed Owen and has been the true Big Bad of Season Six all along, just like initial press releases said he would be.
• Take That, Scrappy!: Quentin casually brushes off the idea that Dinah could actually defeat Black Siren. Played with however, as this time, in stark contrast to all of her defeats earlier, Dinah actually has Laurel on the ropes just before Team Arrow restrains both of them and later when Quentin interferes in their second fight.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic: Dinah, of all people. One would think that the woman who just lost the man she loves would be the most sympathetic person in the episode. Yet, she constantly chooses killing Laurel over helping save the city, and willingly believes a blatant lie to justify it later on. Also, she attacks Quentin multiple times without remorse, and blames Oliver for Vincent's death. Weirdly, the person who is really to blame for what happened, Cayden James, manages to evade her wrath.
