- Harsher in Hindsight: Come Marcy's Journal: A Guide to Amphibia, we learn that Anne's lack of sleep may not have been entirely conscious. One of Anne's entries in the journal talks about having trouble sleeping out of fear that Marcy may be dead and thoughts that she and Sasha may have made her afraid to open up to them. In short, the poor girl may have developed insomnia.
