• Realism-Induced Horror: The abuse Henry inflicts on Roger is realistic in every way, with him repeatedly beating and insulting him, pretending to apologize to keep him from leaving, threatening his life when he tries to escape, and even blackmailing his loved ones when they attempt to help him. The episode becomes rather disturbing as a result.
• The Woobie: Roger, who becomes a realistic abuse victim after meeting Henry. Even Steve feels bad for him and tries his best to help him escape Henry's wrath.
