• Nightmare Fuel: While the game is generally too laughable to be scary, the picture shown when Jason and Maya get eaten by the cannibals is quite gruesome. It depicts their heads hanging on spears with their eyes and mouths stitched up.
• Nightmare Retardant: There's a "SHOCK WARNING!" message shown before every single failure, with no variation. Even if the repetition didn't numb the players' reactions upon getting one, the fact it shows up for more mundane-looking pictures like Jason and Maya getting old or being underwater will. And the death screen itself being full of red skulls and skeletons just makes it feel like it's trying way too hard.
