• Heartwarming Moments:
  • It says a lot about Archie's Character Development that he chooses to attend Lionel's engagement party (albeit technically without a formal invitation) and genuinely seems excited about it. Although his comment to Tom Willis that he is the Jefferson family's "white friend" is played for laughs, it's also basically the truth. He and George even bury the hatchet (even if it is by bonding over their mutual displeasure at the "mixing of the races") and share a drink together.
  • The Willises, defying both Archie and George's expectations of them, beautifully defuse the tension of the situation when Tom asks Louise for a dance (Louise is delighted).
