• Ho Yay: Derek and Clif, in spades. Even before Derek's vampirism, their tension is palatable: in fact, one of the earliest scenes feature Clif being given a jade good-luck charm by Derek - who deliberately makes it look as though he's proposing to him, much to the amusement of the party guests. This only increases with scenes such as Clif cutting himself in order to feed Derek and Derek trying to kill himself after attacking Clif.
