Peter Necropolis is Simon Lachlan.
Simon is very religious, so he would be familiar with the Biblical story of Simon changing his name to Peter. He also displays a suspicious amount of intimate knowledge about Abel residents: Jody's knitting, Sam's D&D playing, etc. He also reacts very emotionally to learning Janine is still alive.- Confirmed, more or less, as of s5m30.
Tom is right about his parents not dying in a car crash.
It seems like a really specific thing for him to insist upon. Janine will die in Season 5.
It seems like it was foreshadowed pretty strongly in s5m1.- Jossed.
We will meet (or have already met) the masked figure from Algeria.
The person who stole the Books of Mary the Jewess will turn up... or is someone we know. (Steve?) It might also be the same person who stole the Edda of the Wakened Warrior for Moonchild.- Still unknown, but the books are in Sigrid's possession.
Sara Smith will be the key to everything.
Not just in the sense that she has a literal keycard to everything. Either Sara will return as a headvoice, or something she left or said will be critical in endgame. Veronica is bringing the season 2 villain back from the dead.
Somewhere in the woods, Sigrid and Veronica are using the pieces from New Canton to bring Van Ark Back from the Dead. The season 2 villain's remains were in the box in the van in s5m13.
That's why it was such a high priority shipment. Matilda will end up being Van Ark's dog.
It didn't seem like Van Ark had any children. So who is Matilda? Maybe Van Ark's dog? Veronica will betray Five.
Steve said someone would test Five's loyalty to Sigrid, and then two episodes later Veronica tells Five to only run with her if Five isn't truly loyal to Sigrid. Suspicious much? Sure, it sounds like Veronica is for real (and we know she's truly devoted to her science), but she could have her reasons.- Jossed, as of the end of s5 at least.
The reason Chris got Veronica's age wrong is because he's absent-minded.
Either that or he's protective of her and thinks of her as being 10, even when she's 14. Veronica gave Five the real vaccine in s5m20 and then disguised it.
Veronica's callousness about Five "turning" in s5m20 seems out of character with her hugging Five and saying she owed Five in s5m17. It seems likely she may have used Five as a carrier to take her vaccine to Paula and Maxine so they can synthesize it and give it to the general population.- Jossed, halfway. Veronica did fake Five's turning into a zombie, but it was with drugs and non-contagious zombies, not the real vaccine.
Veronica is not a brilliant scientist.
She's a naive teenager who is being fed data and manipulated by first van Ark then Sigrid. Sigrid is funding her and hyping her brilliance because Sigrid wants to be seen as trying to end the zombie plague when actually the last thing she wants is for a cure or any other amelioration to be found. If it were, she would lose power. Therefore she provides Veronica with a lab to play in and refuses to provide resources to competent scientists on the grounds that the resources must go first to the "brilliant" Veronica. This keeps everyone else from getting the resources they need to actually figure out how to cure the plague as well as satisfying the pubic by letting them believe that the country's top scientist is on the case. Veronica will die from a zombie bite.
There are a lot of parallels between Veronica and Moonchild. Veronica herself even calls attention to this in late season 3, saying that she could easily have ended up like Moonchild, a misguided villain. Veronica then proceeds to be a misguided villain for most of the next two seasons, and her exact ethics are still highly questionable. There are other parallels, such as her relationship to her father and some of her quirks. Now, Moonchild and her father died the same way: jumping deliberately to their deaths. If this theory holds true, Veronica will die from a zombie bite after getting too close to a zombie while doing research. Matilda will end up being Dr. Holloway's daughter.
The one Sigrid mentioned being friends with in s5m16. Maxine destroyed Veronica's files because of something specific.
While looking through the files, Maxine saw some specific thing that made her want to destroy the research.
