We know Adale was writing (mostly yaoi, but still Harlequin-esque romance novels) at Taurus. Firiel showing up and being such a good friend to Adale just seems a little too convenient. It would not surprise me if Firiel and Rune don't exist, and most of the story is just a book Adale is writing at Taurus to work through her repressed feelings for Eusis and desire to live like a normal girl, locking herself in fantasy while Leandra trounces her in the court.
