Someone close to Eli is the traitor
Someone within Eli's inner circle has the potential to be the traitor after Atlas shows Eli a "Pend Pals" friendship bracelet created by Shreya. The top three suspects are Zeph, Beckett, and Aster.- Zeph seems to be trying to sabotage the group's research into why Eli is being targeted. A premium scene to play as him in Chapter 11 showed he can potentially say that Eli could be dead in a nonchalant manner.
- Beckett has a large amount of premium scenes since Chapter 9, as if the writers are trying to cushion the blow of him being a traitor. He could even be jealous that Eli has the potential to be more powerful than him.
- In Chapter 14, it was revealed that he was the one who broke into the Mirror Dimension to practice Magick and try protecting Eli from Raife Highmore and his minions, only to create another blunder by putting Eli in greater danger than before.
- Aster may have a very small role in the plot so far, yet remains a top suspect because she could be working from behind the scenes. The working theory is that she stole the "Pend Pals" bracelet from a member of the group in order to frame them. Her rant against Attuned in Chapter 5 raises suspicions that she could be easily manipulated by The Dread.
- Jossed. While there is a traitor, it's nobody in the inner circle, but Dean Goeffe, who has been working with the Dread all along.
