Go back to the main WMG page for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

This page is for fan suggestions for Spirit Battles and representative puppet fighters. They're not necessarily serious, they are just ideas or a fun way to discuss how a non-Smash character would be like as a spirit.

    open/close all folders

    Super Smash Bros.
Super Smash Bros. Melee

Both favor neutral specials, and are easily distracted by items where they will attack and jump under the enemies or attack them to pick them up and throw them at you. Very rarely Heart Containers can be pulled out of the grass which can painfully prolong the battle so make sure not to let that happen. The spirit grants you increased shooting power when defeated.

  • Ash Ketchum is represented by Ness, as a stand-in to the always-absent Pokémon Trainer and alluding to how Ash will always be a child forever. In a similar vein to Dr. Wily, Ash sends out his most experienced team of Pikachu, Charizard, Greninja and Incineroar (who was a Torracat at the time of writing). And as a bonus, the Pokémon will have sudden Final Smashes to represent the ways Ash is able to pull off lots of epic moments when he battles at his strongest. Unfortunately, Ness/Ash himself is a pushover and doesn't put up much of a fight, representing his annoying idiocy. But it would be way better when having to deal with an onslaught of powerful Pokémon.

  • Missingno itself. It is represented by Mewtwo, and its stage will demonstrate glitchy effects like causing tripping earthquakes and flipping the controls. And if that isn't enough, Yuri Kozukata appears as an Assist Trophy enemy, and her effect not only makes things suddenly scarier, but also represents how Missingno can also take the form of a ghost. • Giygas is a significantly more powerful version of the Giegue Spirit: represented by a giant red Ridley on Brinstar, resembling the final battle in Earthbound. The opponent taunts often (referencing Giygas' dialogues), has increased attack power, and the player suffers random effects from Giygas' ungraspable power (screen-flip, reverse controls, sudden damage). Ridley is flinch-resistant but you only have to defeat Robin to win. As an equip, the Hierophant is a colorless primary with no slots, but evolves into Grima himself, who has a unique skill: Bane of All, which is a combination of Galeem and Dharkon's skills, doubling damage dealt to and taken from all fighters regardless of who they belong to.

In short, you fight against all of the Fire Emblem characters. That, plus you also have to kill all of them, and that only four characters can be present at once. Once you do get them, they will be a powerful neutral-type spirit with two spirit slots and enhanced special moves.
  • Surtr is an Ace spirit puppeting a Ganondorf with slow super armor and a Death's Scythe, with the battle taking place on a hazardless Norfair with a lava floor. • Gunnthra is an Ace spirit inhabiting Palutena, another motherly figure who has strong magic, on Battlefield Summit. Strong Winds occasionally occur, since Gunnthra is a Wind-type mage with her Blizzard spell, and you'll occasionally get debuffed in all your stats, since Damage Increasing Debuffs are Gunnthra's specialty, thanks to Blizzard's damage scaling with the enemy's total debuffs, and her signature Chilling Seal.
  • Hel is an Ace spirit whose battle features a Female Robin, who's closest in appearance to her with her white hair and black attire, equipped with a Death's Scythe. She is backed up by a dark colored Ike (Lif) and a red Lucina (Thrasir), and the battle is timed, as a nod to her death curse.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses

His Spirit grants improved air defense.
  • Sothis is Legendary Support spirit that possesses a Lucina in her Tiki Palette Swap, since Tiki and Sothis look like each other and because they're both divine dragons. If Byleth makes it into the roster as a playable character, they will serve as Lucina's teammate in this fight. The battle takes place in the throne room of Castle Siege, or whatever happens to be Byleth's stage if they do make it into the roster. Lucina (and Byleth) will be greatly healed every once in a while, and will try to constantly use the Timer items that spawn, in reference to Sothis's Divine Pulse ability, which allows Byleth to turn back time. The use of Timer items is an obvious analogue to the power being over time, but the healing essentially turns back any progress you've made on damaging them, in leu of how Divine Pulse resets any mistakes the player has made. As a potential Legendary DLC Spirit, she will have a unique ability: "Time Breaker", which activates the effects of a Timer item at the start of a battle against everyone who isn't the user.

Mario & Wario
  • Bulldog, Wario's plane, is an Advanced support spirit battle on the first area of the Mushroom Kingdom U stage. Sonic's FS meter charges fast, a reference to their team attacks where Sonic rushes around the whole stage. And assist trophy Knuckles will spawn for the rest of the match when the Mii is defeated. When collected, the spirit grants trade-off where your speed, attack, jump, etc. is increased for the price of 30% damage. The theme music playing is, you guessed it, Sonic Heroes.

  • Heavy Shinobi is a green Sheik equipped with a Freezie (referencing his freezing blade) and a Unira parade every few seconds (place-holders for Asterons). Shinobi himself is an Advanced grab primary spirit that can be enhanced to Phantom Shinobi, an Ace spirit that increases weapon damage.
  • Heavy Magician is a yellow Ness who occasionally turns invisible and is backed up by a white Donkey Kong who uses his down special, a Joker who uses his neutral B, and a Duck Hunt with a Bomber (Bark, Fang, and Bean respectively). Magician herself is an Advanced spirit that can be enhanced to Phantom Magician who increases PSI attacks.
  • Heavy Rider is a purple Sonic with increased speed and is accompanied by a red Kirby with Impact Run (as Jimmy). She is an Advanced spirit with the ability to be enhanced to Phantom Rider who gives Impact Run.

    Mega Man
  • Bad Box Art Megaman is a Mii Brawler in the Labo Outfit equipped with a Super Scope. It takes place on the Battlefield version of Midgar in a Stamina battle. You also have regular Mega Man as an ally.

Mega Man ZX

  • Ashe is an ace spirit class and is a Zero Suit Samus in her fifth color who moves fast (because she goes ahead of her team when she can’t wait) and has an enhanced ray gun. She can be enhanced to Ashe Model A who has Super Armor.

Mega Man X4

  • Iris would be a support-Type spirit. (Mainly able to boost the Zero spirit) Her fight would be initially a red Peach, and in her second phase would become Palutena.

Mega Man 11

  • Block Man is a cyan Mega Man fought in Living Room, which creates falling platforms resembling Block Man's Block Dropper. He has super armor to represent his sturdy body, and he is fought in a Stamina Battle where he becomes giant at low HP to represent how Block Man turns into his One-Winged Angel form after taking enough damage. His spirit grants super armor.
  • Fuse Man is a blue-hatted Pikachu (resembling Fuse Man's headgear) who starts with a Hothead and spams Thunder Jolt, resembling Fuse Man's weapon Scramble Thunder. His spirit gives you a Hothead like his weapon.
  • Blast Man is a Mad Bomber, so his Spirit Battle is full of explosions. He is represented by an indigo Link who prefers his down special to throw bombs. Explosive items will appear throughout the stage and he will try to throw them at you. The stage is Wrecking Crew (known for having bombs everywhere) and there is a Bob-omb Festival to represent how Blast Man's entire stage is Made of Explodium. His spirit gives you a Bob-omb.
  • Acid Man is a green Inkling Boy, with his mouth-covering bandanna resembling Acid Man's respirator. He will frequently use his neutral special to spray you in green ink resembling Acid Man's acid, and shields often like using the Acid Barrier. The stage is in Frigate Orpheon (a lab much like his stage) and the floor is poisonous to represent the pool of acid that the Robot Master swims in during the boss fight. His spirit gives a poison immunity, since Acid Man is acidproof so he can swim in the acid in his stage.
  • Tundra Man is a blue and white Ike who is fought in the Omega Summit, like the ice rink Tundra Man is fought in. The floor will be slippery and reduces traction, while the puppet fighter has the ability to deal damage by dashing, which Tundra Man does in his boss fight. Your speed will decrease after a while to represent Tundra Man's Tundra Storm freezing anyone caught within. His spirit gives you the Impact Run so you can do the same.
  • Torch Man is a shiny Incineroar who prefers using its up special Cross Chop to rise up and descend diagonally covered in flames, which resembles Torch Man's Blazing Torch. The battle is set in Suzaku Castle to represent Torch Man's enthusiasm in martial arts, and it is a timed battle to allude to his stage in the original game, which contained an advancing wall of deadly fire. His spirit powers up your fire and explosion attacks, though being a martial artist he may operate a Dojo instead.
  • Impact Man is represented by three yellow Captain Falcons (representing how Impact Man can split into three parts known as the Impact Brothers) who each start with Drills mirroring Impact Man's drill hands. They tend to spam their side specials, which resemble Impact Man's Pile Driver. His spirit gives you a Drill.
  • Bounce Man is a giant pink Dedede who loves to jump and spams his up special, like how Bounce Man mainly bounces around in the air during his boss fight. The gravity is lowered to resemble how Bounce Man's stage is full of trampolines and bouncy surfaces. His spirit allows a higher jump.
  • The Gear Fortress boss Mawverne is represented by a giant Bowser in his Giga colors, resembling Mawverne's shell. It is fought in the Battlefield version of Wily's Castle, and has frequent invincibility (akin to Super Star and Shine Sprite) resembling how it typically hides in its shell to avoid harm. It starts with a Ray Gun to represent Mawverne's lasers, and is fought in a stamina battle to represent how you must take it down when it is vulnerable.

Ms. Pac-Man
  • Ms. Pac-Man is an Advanced green spirit where you fight against a Jigglypuff with a bow and Pac-Man (As Himself) on the Pac-Land stage and the Ghosts assist trophy will appear at the start of the battle. When defeated, the spirit grants you stats up after eating.

    Street Fighter
Street Fighter III
  • Q is a Novice support spirit. You face against a gray R.O.B. on the omega version of New Donk City. Much like other Street Fighter Spirit battles, it is a stamina match with all fighters having decreased jumping. Punches and throws have increased power. Once unlocked, the spirit grants more stamina.

Street Fighter IV

  • El Fuerte is an Advanced support spirit where you fight a white Incineroar in a stamina battle on omega Boxing Ring and jump power is decreased. Curry and food will occasionally appear and will increase his stats when eaten, referencing his career as a cook. When defeated the spirit grants stats up after eating.

    Final Fantasy
Final Fantasy I
  • The Warrior of Light is a Legendary team battle against the default party that started it all: Fighter, Thief, White Mage, and Black Mage, represented by Link (red outfit), either Joker or Sheik (green outfit), and two Robins (white and blue, respectively).
  • Garland is a metal Ganondorf who causes earthquakes to knock you all down. His backup when defeated is a giant Ridley representing Chaos. As an equip, he's a red Primary Spirit with one slot, who can enhance to become Chaos, which grants the player a free Ore Club.

Final Fantasy V

  • Gilgamesh is a giant Simon backed up by a regular-size Link and Cloud, all equipped with Killing Edges, and fought (where else?) on Eldin Bridge. Melee weapons spawn throughout the fight. As an equip, he gives you a free Killing Edge.

Final Fantasy VI

  • Terra Branford is a red-clothed Palutena with boosted magic and a Beam Sword (representing the Ultima Weapon from her game). Her backup when defeated is a pink Wolf with a Super Leaf and increased air speed, representing Terra's Trance form. As an equippable Spirit, Terra would be similar to Twinrova in that she's a three-slot colorless Primary who can enhance into her Trance form, which gives Magic Attack Up.
  • Locke Cole is a blue Joker fought in Great Cave Offensive. He starts the fight by summoning Moltres (the next best thing to the Phoenix Esper) and has Critical-Health Recovery. As support Spirit, he grants Item Autograb.
  • Mog is a team battle, also in Great Cave Offensive, against a group of Super Leaf-equipped Pikachus. There are occasional earthquakes as a reference to Mog's Geo Effects-based Dance attacks.

Final Fantasy VII

  • Sephiroth is a Legendary-class Primary Spirit who is represented by a giant Marth in his black costume, armed with a Killing Edge to represent Sephiroth's Masamune. Sephiroth can unleash critical hits at random and has sudden Final Smashes.
  • Aerith Gainsborough is an Advanced-class Support Spirit who is represented by Zelda in her red costume. During the Spirit Battle, Aerith heals over time, representing her status as a White Magician Girl. When equipped, she grants a Back Shield.
  • Tifa Lockhart is an Advanced-class Primary Spirit who is represented by a Mii Brawler in her image. Tifa's physical attacks are boosted and she is fought on Midgar. When equipped, she grants an increase in Fist Attack power to make up for having only 1 slot for Support Spirits.
    • But if (hopefully) female Terry is announced, then Tifa is definitely female Terry.
  • Vincent Valentine is an Ace-Level Attack Primary represented by Joker in his red overcoat. The battle takes place in Luigi’s Mansion, and he prefers to use his Neutral B. After a while, Vincent will transform into one of four forms: A large purple Incineroar representing the Galian Beast, A large white King K. Rool representing Death Gigas, A large white-haired Ganondorf representing Hellmasker or a giant blue Ridley representing Chaos. Equipping this spirit increases all shooting attacks.
  • Yuffie Kisaragi is an Advanced-class Support Spirit who is represented by Sheik in her green costume. During the Spirit Battle, Boomerangs frequently spawn and gravitate towards Yuffie. When equipped, she grants Item Gravitation (fitting for a thief).
  • Professor Hojo is a Legendary-class Support Spirit fought on Midgar, at first represented by Dr. Mario. Once he's defeated, Ridley will appear, representing Helletic Hojo, the second part of the Hojo fight from its parent game. After defeating Ridley, Mewtwo will appear as a representation of the final part of the fight, Lifeform-Hojo N. Dr. Mario will try to avoid conflict, as Hojo himself doesn't fight in the first stage of his boss fight, but Ridley and Mewtwo will have increased attack power. At some points during the battle, the player will take sudden damage, and there is a poison floor, to represent Hojo's poisonous attacks. His spirit's effect on the player when equipped is that the player will heal on stages with poisonous floors.
  • The various Jenova fights:
    • Jenova BIRTH, LIFE, and DEATH are each represented by Dark Samus, with Dark Samus' alt colors corresponding to the specific Jenova incarnation it represents (Dark Samus' silver alt is used for BIRTH, the crimson alt for LIFE, and the purple alt for DEATH). BIRTH is a Novice Spirit fought on Pirate Ship, LIFE is an Advanced Spirit fought on Unova Pokemon League, and DEATH is an Ace Spirit fought on the Great Cave Offensive's omega form. All are support spirits that have varying effects on the chances of the player equipped with them getting a critical hit. They are also all armed with staff, representing Jenova's laser attacks.
    • Jenova Absolute is a Legendary-class Primary Spirit represented by Giant Bayonetta and fought on Brinstar's omega form. The enemy has increased attack power, its Final Smash meter charges faster than normal, and it is hard to cause them to flinch.

World of Final Fantasy

  • Lann and Reynn (Lilikin) is an Ace Level Defense Primary spirit where you fight on Midgar against a red male Corrin and a female orange Corrin (as the twins) who are assisted by a light-blue Isabelle (as Tama) in a stamina battle. Reinforcements will appear during battle where Cloud will show up in the middle of the fight to reference how he can be summoned by them. When defeated, they can be enhanced into the Legend spirit, Lann and Reynn where they will grant you a major increase in magic attack.

Multiple Games/Series-Wide

  • Chocobo is an Advanced-class Primary Spirit represented by a Yellow Yoshi (as they are both Power Up Mounts in their respective series). The fight takes place on Gaur Plain and you need to fight a hoard of different colored Yoshis: Yellow ones are normal, green ones auto-heal, blue ones are equipped with a Freezie item and red ones have increased attack. You need to defeat 8 of them to win the battle.
  • Black Chocobo is a Legendary-class support spirit that is only available through summoning. You need 2 regular Chocobo spirits, a Deku Link spirit (as nuts are needed to increase stats in Chocobo breeding in Final Fantasy VII) and a support spirit core in order to summon it. When equipped, it grants an additional jump (in reference to the Black Chocobo's ability to fly).
  • Gilgamesh is a Legendary-class support Spirit. He is represented by a 4th alt Ike, but the battle starts with a Link (Fierce Deity alt), a Cloud, a Meta Knight (Galacta Knight alt) and a Roy. They are then followed by a Ganondorf, a Robin, a Marth, a Shulk, an Erdrick, a male Corrin and finally the Ike. All of them have stronger then normal Smash attacks and prefer using Smash attacks. Once defeated, the Spirit grants a Critical Hit ↑↑ (Much like Mythra and the Lyn (Blade Lord) spirits).

Splatoon 2
  • Inner Agent 3 is a red Legend spirit where you fight a yellow girl Inkling in a stamina battle on Battlefield Moray Towers at night. She has increased speed and attack power and her shooting power is increased as well as all her special moves have increased power. She has temporary invincibility at critical health and your speed is reduced to reference the game where she has ink all over the stage so it slows you down. Her ink meter and FS meter charge fast and sometimes will have a sudden FS. Oh, and if that wasn't enough, she also has a chance for double FS, have fun! When defeated, the spirit grants you increased shooting power.

  • Phantom Bat is an Advanced-class Support Spirit represented by a lilac Ridley (similar to his Dracula X color) who loves to jump and use his neutral special. His Spirit grants increased air attack.

Castlevania: Chronicles of Sorrow

  • Mina Hakuba is an Ace-class Support Spirit. She is represented by Zelda in her red costume who prefers to flee from battle. Unfortunately for you, she is accompanied by a highly aggressive Marth in his white costume (representing Soma Cruz, which is helped by the fact that Marth and Soma share the same Japanese voice actor). Killing Zelda first grants Marth an extreme stat boost, referencing the bad ending of Dawn of Sorrow. When equipped, she grants Critical Health Healing.
  • Dark Lord Soma is an Legend-class Primary Spirit and consists of a team fight similar to the pre-existing Phantom Thieves of Hearts and Hero's Comrades Spirits. The battle begins with Zelda (representing Mina) who remains stationary and dies in one hit. Too bad it then leads to a series of one-on-one duels against stand-ins for the original Castlevania bosses; Ridley (Phantom Bat), Meta Knight (Medusa), Sheik (Mummy), Mii Brawler (The Creature) and Robin (Death), culminating with a borderline homicidal Marth (Dracula). Defeating him gives no slots, but an unique trait shared with the above-mentioned Grima: Bane of All.

Castlevania: Rondo of Blood

  • Annette is a blue Ace spirit where you fight against a green Peach, a bright blue Richter, and Alucard on the Battlefield form of Dracula's Castle. You only need to defeat the main fighter to win but she avoids conflict like crazy and the aggressive Richter and Alucard will get in your way. When collected, the spirit offers easier dodging.

Persona 5
  • The various Spirits from Persona 5 will be featured in a dungeon in World of Light, based off of Mementos from the original game.
    • The dungeon starts with a battle against Morgana. Acquiring his Spirit will let you use the Morgana-mobile to head deeper into the area.
    • Like in the original game, the map for Mementos goes downward. The player must defeat the Spirits of the Phantom Thieves (who are placed in order of recruitment) in order to open the gates that lead further down, with several optional fights sprinkled throughout. At the bottom, the imprisoned Joker is, fittingly, guarded by prison wardens Caroline and Justine.
  • Morgana (Mona) is represented by a small Incineroar (a fellow feline). Taking place in Gamer (a bedroom like the attic of Leblanc), the battle has the Incineroar wield a Gust Bellows to represent Morgana's Garu spells. The Incineroar heals over time, since Morgana is the first party member to have healing spells in the game. Also, the floor puts to you sleep, as Morgana won't stop telling you to go to bed.
  • The battle against Ryuji (Skull) has you fight the similarly boisterous blonde Ken, who has a Homerun Bat to mimic his large swinging weapons, and features a Zap Floor to represent his Zio spells.
  • Ann (Panther) is represented by fellow blonde, skin-tight suit wearing Ms. Fanservice Zero Suit Samus in a red costume. She has a Fire Flower and the floor is lava, representing her Agi spells.
  • Yusuke (Fox) is represented by Chrom, a fellow swordsman whom he shares voice actors with, both in English and Japanese. Fellow artist Vince spawns as a hostile Assist Trophy, and Chrom himself has a Freezie while the floor is frozen, representing his Bufu spells.
  • Makoto (Queen) is represented by a Mii Brawler made in her image, who's fist attacks have increased power, since Makoto's weapons are gauntlets. She's teamed up with a Wario who loves to use his Wario Bike, since her Persona, Johanna, is a Cool Bike itself. The closest thing to her Frei spells can be a poisoned floor and poison fog due to the radioactivity.
  • Futaba (Oracle) is represented by the orange female Inkling (since they look so much alike), but is a pacifist who provides stat buffs to a minion Joker, since she's purely a Support Party Member in her home game. The battle takes place in the Mushroomy Kingdom, a desert like her Palace is.
  • Haru (Noire) is represented by fellow pink proper lady Peach, with the battle taking place on Lylat Cruise to represent her father's Palace. Your controls will reverse and the screen will flip occasionally, to replicate her Psio spells.
  • Akechi (Crow) is represented by fellow swordsman Marth in his white costume. His weapon attacks have increased power, and the Nightmare Assist Trophy will show up every once in a while, to represent his access to Eiha spells and his true identity as the Black Mask, who he can be Enhanced into. His Enhanced ability is Trade Off Attack, representing how he drives himself mad to increase his own strength during the battle against him.
  • Caroline and Justine are a blue Zelda and blue Rosalina, with Zelda's magic representing their access to any kind of magic, and Luma representing their cute but powerful collection of Personas. They're an enhanceable Primary Spirit, who evolves into their true form, Lavenza, who grants Critical Health Healing since she provides a healing service during the last leg of the game.
  • Sojiro Sakura is represented by Snake teamed up with an orange female Inkling. Both gain Curry breath after a little while and Item Tidal Waves of drinks and Super Spicy Curry will occur, since Sojiro is known for making coffee and curry at his cafe. He is a Support Spirit who grants a Mouthful of Curry.
  • Suguru Kamoshida's battle pits you against a male Wii Fit Trainer who loves to use his Header attack, representing his Volleyball attack in his boss fight, and a Zero Suit Samus, representing the Cognitive Ann. The battle takes place in Dracula's Castle, a castle like his Palace is, and food items will spawn that power up the Wii Fit Trainer when he eats them, representing the chalice that provides him with healing food in his original boss fight.
  • Ichiryuusai Madarame is a Mii Fighter dressed as Vince, a fellow artist, with the actual Vince Assist Trophy occasionally spawning. To reflect his ink attack that makes you weak to all elements, you become easy to launch every once in a while.
  • Junya Kaneshiro is a Wario, another antagonist that represents Gluttony, teamed up with a Metal Jigglypuff that spams Rollout to represent his Piggytron. The Wario is easily distracted by items, as the original Kaneshiro was.
  • Kunikazu Okumura is represented by an Olimar and is fought on Lylat Cruise, referencing his Shadow's spaceman appearance and space station Palace respectively. For the majority of this Stamina battle, you fight a horde of R.O.B.s of various sizes and colors, reflecting Okumura sending his robots to fight for him (with the number of R.O.B.s being exactly the same number as the amount of robots he sends at you in the original game). After defeating all the R.O.B.s, Olimar finally appears but has very low HP, referencing how Okumura himself doesn't take that much trouble to take down. Food items, specifically hamburgers, also appear to reference the Okumura family owning the Big Bang Burger fast food chain, as well as Okumura being able to inflict the Hungry status onto the party during his boss fight. Also, much like the original boss fight against Okumura himself, the battle is timed, but you're given a Peach ally, representing Haru, to help you out.
  • Sae Nijima is represented by fellow long-legged Ms. Fanservice Bayonetta. After a little while, she changes into Metal form, just like how she transforms into a mechanical monster during her original boss fight after you uncover her roulette cheating.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth

  • Koromaru, Teddie, & Morgana is an Ace support spirit where you fight 3 Jokers (blue, yellow, and red) as the 3 protagonists, a white Duck Hunt Dog, a blue Banjo, and a black Lucario on Mementos. They will spawn in waves where the battle will begin with blue Joker and DHD and after a while the yellow Joker and Banjo will spawn, followed by red Joker and Lucario. Blue Joker will start with a Ray Gun and yellow Joker will start with a Killing Edge. When defeated, the spirit grants you healing over time. This is the battle theme.

    Dragon Quest
  • Slimes would be small blue Kirbys who would do minuscule damage. She-Slimes would be red Kirbys who would fight more aggressively. Metal Slime would be a Metal Kirby who have high defenses that make them hard to defeat. King Slime would be a Giant Kirby who would fight hard and aggressively.

Dragon Quest I

  • Dragonlord, the Final Boss of Dragon Quest I, would start with a stamina fight against a strong purple Ganondorf. Once Ganondorf is defeated, a large and buffed purple Ridley would descend on the battlements, in reference to the Dragonlord's One-Winged Angel form.

Dragon Quest V

  • Madason, the protagonist of Dragon Quest V, would obviously be represented by Three's white and purple alternate. The first phase of the fight would have him accompanied by ZSS in a green suit (Bianca), Palutena in pink robes (Nera), and Bayonetta in the red version of her first outfit (Debora). Once you've dispatched them, though, the real threat would emerge in the form of Madason's children, represented by Young Link and Isabelle. Young Link would be constantly healing damage in reference to Parry's multitude of healing spells, and Isabelle's FS meter would charge way faster as a substitute for Madchen's Kaboom.

Dragon Quest VI

  • Jumping Jackal is an Advanced red spirit where you fight 3 brown Wolf's in a Stamina battle on Battlefield Gaur Plain and their physical attack is increased where they prefer physical and claw attacks. Meat will spawn and their stats increase when eating. When defeated, the spirit grants increased physical attacks.

Dragon Quest VIII

  • Prince Charmles from Dragon Quest VIII could appear as a Novice-class support spirit. Support because he's a Guest-Star Party Member. His puppet fighter would be Wario in his green alt since both are obnoxious, fast, and fat. He would run away since he's a Dirty Coward, has reduced power and increased speed because he deals 1 damage while moving ahead of the party, and he would be a taunter since he talks up a big game. As to why he would be included? So that fans could pay him back for all of the shit he put the party through while escorting him on his rite of passage!

  • Since the titular characters of Banjo-Kazooie are confirmed for Smash Ultimate, how about Tooty as a spirit? She will be represented by Zelda (another blonde), and she taunts often to represent her playing her piccolo. Her spirit can become enhanced to Nasty Tooty, where she is a much stronger fighter.
    • Other BK spirits could include Grunty (Bayonetta), Mumbo (Villager), Humba (Rosalina) and Bottles (Sonic).
  • Gruntilda, as alluded to by some other guy before me, would be represented by a green Bayonetta, which is not only a nod to the fact that she's a witch, but also her goal in the first game, and is fought on the Find Mii stage. Her Smash attacks have increased power, since it's the closest thing that Bayo has to magic in her moveset. Since there's no organic way to put this fact in there, I think she'd be an Ace Spirit that can be enhanced to the Game Over version of ol' Grunty.
    • Personally, I think it's more likely that she'll end up as her bony self from Banjo-Tooie, and she'd obviously enhance magic attacks no matter what she upgrades to.
  • The Mighty Jinjonator would be another Legendary Spirit, and it would be represented by a giant cyan Yoshi being assisted by Banjo & Kazooie and four other Yoshis, with those being purple, yellow, green and red (serving as the Closest Thing We Got to the orange Jinjo). Banjo & Kazooie have infinite lives, along with having sudden Final Smashes at random. You need to KO the relatively smaller Yoshis in order for the giant cyan one to spawn. In the player's hand, The Mighty Jinjonator would be a Attack-type Primary Spirit that increases shield damage.
  • Boggy would be an Advanced Spirit represented by a white Banjo & Kazooie on Summit. The favor dash attacks, as it's the closest thing to him being on a sled. In the player's hand, he's a Support Spirit that grants the Lightweight ability, as a reference to the fact he runs a gym in Nuts & Bolts that increases Banjo's stats.
  • Mumbo Jumbo would be an Ace Spirit represented by a yellow Ness, whose PSI could be a stand-in for the shaman's magic, assisted by the bear and bird (who use the, as of typing this, only confirmed alt costume, which seems to be based off of Mumbo himself) on Yoshi's Island (Melee). Ness's PSI attacks have increased power during this battle, and once in the player's hand, he's a Defense-type Primary Spirit.
  • Bottles is a tough character to find an appropriate avatar for, but perhaps Olimar's red alt could work. He's another short, big-nosed family man, and while he doesn't burrow through the dirt, he plucks his troops out of it. His Spirit Battle could take place on Spiral Mountain and have all the fighters' jumps weakened, with Bottles himself not jumping very often. However, fellow burrowing mammal Knuckles the Echidna would show up to hassle the player. It would be nice if he boosted the power of your special moves, given his lessons in Banjo-Kazooie, but that's a Legendary skill and he'd look a little awkward next to Mew and the Wind Fish. Still doable, but he can be an Ace Support Spirit and boost up specials if it doesn't click with the scenario planners. After all, he's the one who taught a bird to fly.
    • Alternatively, Bottles-as-Olimar is easy to send flying, but once you've knocked him off the stage, you'll have to contend with a souped-up Banjo-Kazooie looking to avenge their friend, just like how Banjo-Tooie played out.
  • Mr. Vile is admittedly a minor character who's only appeared in one stage in one game, but he's got one of the frustrating Jiggies to win in Banjo-Kazooie and he's a tremendous buttrag, to boot. He'd be an Advanced Spirit possessing a orange copy of King K. Rool, fought on Distant Planet. His head attacks would do more damage and food would frequently spawn during the fight. Once beaten, he'd be a Support spirit that boosts stats after eating.

  • Mumbo's rival Humba Wumba would be an Advanced Spirit represented by a yellow Sheik that's also assisted by Banjo & Kazooie (using their Gruntilda-based alt, the closest thing to Dragon Kazooie being in the game). In the player's hand, she's a Support Spirit that increases transformation duration.
  • Jamjars would be an Advanced Spirit and can be represented by Snake's Tiger Stripe alt, since he's a hard-edged military mole who dresses in olive drab. Great Plateau Tower can stand in for the ancient ruins of Mayahem Temple, the place where Banjo and Kazooie first met him. Since many of his moves involve giving Kazooie new ways to shoot her eggs, he'd start out with a Super Scope, whose round energy blasts are the closest thing to eggs among the shooting items, and his projectile attacks would be enhanced. He'd also be backed up by Donkey Kong's yellow-furred, blue-tied alt and Falco's red alt, since he also taught a lot of moves that required Banjo and Kazooie to temporarily separate. Once beaten, he'd become a Support Spirit that boosts the power of shooting attacks.
  • Blobbelda and Mingella, represented by Wario's biker alt with the green vest and female Robin, start out holding drills on Dracula's Castle's Omega form. If you take too long to defeat them, white and gold Bowser, standing in for undead Grunty, joins the fray and ups the difficulty by a fair bit. The two would start out as an Advanced Attack Primary Spirit, but once you upgraded them, you'd get the Hag 1, an Ace Spirit that boosts shield damage.
  • Canary Mary is one of, if not the most infamous minor character in the whole series, so much so that Nuts & Bolts made a joke about her unforgivingly difficult races in Cloud Cuckooland. For her battle, you fight a yellow Duck Hunt in Palutena's Temple, and she's actually a bit of a pushover...up until you've beaten her up enough, in which case she gets an enormous speed boost and becomes that much more of a pain to defeat. Bombchus also spawn all around the stage and she's easily distracted by them.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

  • L.O.G. would be a Legendary Spirit represented by a purple Rosalina (whose robe resembles L.O.G.'s and her blonde hair could be a stand-in for his head) who's fought on Mario Circuit (the Mario Kart 8 one) as it's the closest thing to referencing the Genre Shift in Nuts & Bolts. As a nod to his ablities, the screen is constantly flipping and you take constant damage. In the player's hand, he's a Neutral-type Primary Spirit that's predictably powerful.

    Fatal Fury
  • Andy Bogard is represented by a white Sheik who is fought in a stamina match with all fighters having decreased jump height.
  • Geese Howard is an Legend Primary Spirit with the Attack typing. He's represented by a white-haired Ganondorf whose fight takes place on New Donk City Tower. The battle is a Stamina Match, similar to the Street Fighter Spirits currently in the game, and Ganondorf has immense attack power, however his jump height is decreased. Defeating him gives you the exclusive effect Final Boss, which gives you a permanent buff to all your stats at the cost of you only fighting with stamina.

    Nintendo characters
  • Matt, the memetic Steve Harvey lookalike and champion of Mii boxing and swordfighting, makes his grand appearance. His fight is set in Boxing Ring and the opponent is a Mii Brawler with Matt's likeness. He starts with a Belt Sword so he can box and swordfight at the same time. His spirit increases the power of fist attacks.

  • Ninjara spirit battle would be against a green Sheik on Battlefield Suzaku Castle. Spring Man will jump in to assist and Sheik will prefer to dodge and spam up specials.
  • Lola Pop is an Ace support spirit where you fight a pink Dedede on the fountain area of Wuhu Island. He is equipped with a Franklin Badge and has extra shield durability. He will have a tendency to inhale your projectiles and send them back. When defeated, the spirit offers an extra midair jump.

  • The School Library Pep Squad, an Advanced spirit is represented by twelve Robins who prefer to use special attacks, alluding to their use of books in their cheering. Fortunately, they’re all easy to defeat. Once obtained, they can give you a boost to your down special when used.

    Konami characters

  • Pyramid Head is a Legendary-class Primary Spirit. He is represented by two metal Ikes (representing the final battle against a pair of Pyramid Heads) and a hostile Black Knight Assist Trophy. When equipped, he grants Slow Super Armor.

    SEGA characters
  • Epsilon-Eagle is a black Falco who incessantly uses the side special to dodge and close in on an attack. He is also attracted to the Super Scopes (for Buster Force), Fire Flowers (for Flame Force) and Staffs (for Sword and/or Lancer Force) that spawn in the arena. He will be a support spirit that makes dodging easier.

  • Gunstar Blue is a blue Mii Gunner, joined by a red Mii Gunner standing in for Gunstar Red. They are also faster than normal given the run-and-gun nature of their source game.

  • Beat is an Ace red spirit where you fight against a dark blue boy Inkling (as Beat) and a yellow girl Inkling (as Gum) on Battlefield form of Moray Towers. The enemies favor special attacks and their special attacks have increased power. The enemies can attack by dashing into you (as they're rollerskaters) and their speed will increase when damage is high. Vince the assist will appear sometimes (simulating their graffiti). When collected, the spirit can be enhanced into the Legend spirit Beat (Jet Set Radio Future) where the spirit offers sticky floor immunity.

  • King Mickey is a Mr. Game & Watch who is also assisted by Duck Hunt, fought on Flat Zone. Why Mr. Game & Watch instead of, say, Mario? • Squigly would be represented by a black Zelda being assisted by a grey Lucas (who references Leviathan) on 75m. Lucas will constantly try to grab you.
  • Big Band would be represented by a sepia-toned King Dedede (which references the fact B.B. has a Dedede-inspired color swap) on New Pork City. • Soldier is a red Snake, equipped with a Steel Diver and with a tendency to use forward and up smash, both of which use a rocket launcher.
  • Pyro is Samus, as an allusion to the common speculation that the Pyro is a woman, though in this case the class is officially left deliberately vague as to what they are under the outfit. She will be under the curry effect, as an allusion to the W+M1 Pyro, and is fought on Green Greens, a reference to Pyroland.
  • Demoman is a black Wolf, starting off with a Bob-omb, with other explosive items spawning.
    • Demoman could also be a red Link who starts with a Bob-omb and favors his down special which he will spam bombs like Demoman, plus he has Impact Run and increased speed and attack like Demo's rush attack.

Rool doesn't have the defensive boost this time, he instead heals slightly over time while Dr. Mario actively avoids combat. At random intervals, both fighters become temporarily invincible to represent Ubercharge.
  • Sniper is a red Falco equipped with a Staff, preferring to fight from a far enough distance for a good clean shot. The player occasionally becomes gold, but takes extra damage during that time, referencing Jarate and the mini-crits it deals to coated enemies.

  • The Sentry Buster is a massive blue Kirby that spawns with a Bob-omb, and you start the match with 300% damage - you have to survive until time runs out, as if you were the Engineer trying to protect his sentry.

The fight is a stamina battle to represent the battle system, and Heart Containers appear throughout the stage to represent the heart-shaped SOUL that the player uses to dodge enemy attacks.

After a while, both fighters will take serious damage akin to Katrina's battle and leaving them extremely vulnerable, referencing Flowey's "kill or be killed" philosophy.
  • Napstablook is represented by a white Mr. Game and Watch, fought in a no-frills battle representing how Napstablook's fight isn't as interesting as the other fights later in the game (and boy, are they aware of that). However, the closest thing I could think of that resembles Napstablook's fight is the spirit battle taking place in [WarioWare, Inc. with "Stay dry" being the only minigame, as it features damaging rainstorms similar to Blooky's Swiss Army Tears.
  • Toriel is a "dark" Zelda (since this palette swap has a coloration similar to Toriel's) who uses Din's Fire to represent her pyrokinesis. Since Toriel's fight introduces the moral dilemma present throughout the game, her fight has a "survive until the timer runs out" rule where you must either choose to spare or kill her in order to win. And to top it all off, all fighters have decreased attack to show Toriel's reluctance in harming Frisk as well as the Player Punch the fight imposes.
  • Papyrus is a white-clothed Chrom, with a cape similar to Papyrus' own. During his spirit battle, your gravity will intensify to represent the Unexpected Gameplay Change of his battle introducing a platforming aspect. In a manner similar to Malon's battle, a tidal wave of a certain type of food will appear, in this case being sphagetti (his Trademark Favorite Food). Starman appears as a hostile assist trophy, since it was the original inspiration for Papyrus' design.
  • Papyrus' brother Sans is represented by a blue Robin, who was not only the puppet fighter representing the similar character Death, but has a relationship with Chrom in the lore. As Sans' battle is a spoiler in the lore (unless you know in one way or another), this spirit battle will be filled with spoilers as well. Sans will periodically turn invincible similar to Super Star and Shedinja to reference his ability to dodge attacks easily, and he starts with a Staff to represent the Gaster Blasters he uses. The stage will have a slumber floor to represent Sans' laziness, as well as his plan to stall the player into exhaustion, only for him to be exhausted instead. He is accessible as a primary spirit, but he can be enhanced into his "Bad Time" mode, with Easy Dodging as his ability.
    • Alternatively, Sans is represented by Blue Mario (due to his height compared to his brother), and it's a Stamina battle that replicates the Genocide route. The first opponent is Purple Rosalina with 80 HP (Toriel, reflecting her motherly nature), then Fire Luigi with 100 HP (Papyrus, acting as a tall brother with unorthodox jumping physics), Greninja with 30 HP (Undyne, due to their aquatic nature and ability to turn water into weaponry), Metal Greninja with 150 HP (Undyne the Undying), Metal Bayonetta with 20 HP (Mettaton-NEO, because both of them have nice legs), and lastly, Blue Mario with 10 HP, a Bunny Hood and periodic invincibility to reflect Sans' dodging ability.) The Battlefield is The Great Cave Offensive, to represent the vastness of the underground.
    • Now that his costume is confirmed, it only makes sense that if Sans gets a spirit, it'll be a Mii Gunner dressed as him. All the above special conditions can still apply, of course.
  • Undyne is represented by a blue Bayonetta, who is powerful enough on her own. Your fighter is easy to launch yet starts with a Back Shield to represent the way Undyne's boss fight introduces the green SOUL, which can't move and must rely on a shield to defend itself from attacks. She is fought in a stamina battle referencing her willingness to fight, even defying death. She is available as a primary spirit, but can be enhanced into her One-Winged Angel form, Undyne the Undying.
  • Mettaton EX is a metal Captain Falcon, represented in his white and pink coloration for good measure. Like Blaziken and Hitmonlee, this is another example of a puppet Captain Falcon with enhanced kicks and knee strikes, to reference Mettaton's famous legs. As he is a famous star in the underground, the Squid Sisters appear in the fight as his guest stars.
  • Mettaton's creator Alphys is represented by a yellow Yoshi. As she can't be fought in-game, her puppet fighter avoids conflict with Mettaton's puppet fighter doing the fighting for her, although she as the main fighter must be defeated to win.
  • Asgore is represented by a yellow-colored Bowser, who has a similar role as being a villain in the perspective of the good guys, yet is a good king and a father to his subjects and children alike. He starts with a Beam Sword, the closest equivalent to Asgore's trident, and he has super armor to represent his toughness.
  • Asriel Dreemurr: The object of this fight is to survive until the timer runs out (which is set to five minutes). It starts off as a yellow Piranha Plant that is dispatched easily. But after that, a giant Mewtwo spawns and it has increased attack and defense power, the ability to heal when it hits you and sudden Final Smashes. It's also easily distracted by items, which include Dragoon and Daybreaker parts. Should you knock Mewtwo out, another one spawns and this repeats about five times (once per minute). Once obtained, it is a Legend-class defense primary spirit with no ability and no slots but high stats (similar to Akuma).
  • The Fallen Child/Chara is represented by a green-clothed Isabelle, who has a similar perpetual smile. Contrary to popular belief, Chara didn't start as the villain, only when they become corrupted through their experience in the Genocide route. As such, Chara's spirit battle is similar to Aegislash's two-phased fight: the fighter starts docile and avoidant of conflict at first, but when you defeat them they will be replaced with a more hostile version willing to strike you down. It also has a "Survive until the timer runs out" rule, so you can either spare Chara to make them remain docile, or force them to fight you. Taking the latter option will give Chara a Killing Edge. This fight is a reminder of Undertale's morality system: you can be kind or cruel, so choose wisely.
  • Asriel's spirit battle in his child form features his and Chara's puppet fighters starting with Lip's Sticks to represent their plan to use Golden Flowers to incite the human-monster war (as well as Asriel becoming a flower himself, see Flowey above). The enemy fighters will avoid conflict, but they will use their Lip's Stick on you if they have to. They're basically re-enacting their plan. As for Asriel's puppet fighter, I went with Yoshi in his Crafted colors, which in turn is a reference to Deltarune's mention of "Super Smashing Fighters" in which Asriel's favorite character was "the green egg-laying lizard". Basically, Galeem trapped Asriel in the body of his favorite fighter. Hey, they referenced Sans in the quote "If you try to dunk someone with it, you're gonna have a bad time" in the tip about Toon Link's down aerial. The cross-references between Smash and Undertale are definitely possible.
  • W.D. Gaster is a black Mewtwo (resembling the Mystery Man speculated to be Gaster himself) whose special moves have increased power to show Gaster's mysterious world-altering abilities. However, Mewtwo is permanently invisible to represent how Gaster was shattered across time and space, and he has to experience a world in which he is nonexistent, only showing up here and there in certain timelines. Isaac appears as a hostile assist trophy with his power to create giant psychic hands, since Gaster is known as the "man that speaks in hands" and fanmade Gaster battles depict him as using disembodied Wingding hands in combat. He is fought in Frigate Orpheon, which resembles the CORE and Alphys' abandoned lab.
  • Omega Flowey is represented by a giant green Ridley. His boss fight is a Bullet Hell which is hard to replicate in a fighting game, so Omega Flowey starts with a Super Scope (which resembles a machine gun) and summons Mother Brain as a hostile assist trophy. His spirit strengthens shooting attacks.
  • Kris is represented by Lucas in Claus' colors, referencing how they are the Contrasting Sequel Protagonist to Frisk like how Lucas is very different from his predecessors Ninten and Ness. They start with a Belt Sword, referencing Kris' signature weapon in the Dark Realm.
  • Susie appears too, but due to sharing a name with another Susie, she is referred in-game as Susie (Deltarune). Her puppet fighter is a purple Simon, who favors using Axe to represent Susie's signature axe.
  • Ralsei is represented by a yellow-clothed Sheik, who has a red scarf on her mouth like Ralsei's own. The floor will be sleep-inducing to represent his ability to sing lullabies to soothe enemies, and he will avoid conflict to show his pacifistic nature. Ralsei heals over time, referencing his status as the healer of the party.
  • Lancer is a blue Wario who favors the Wario Bike and has increased movement speed, since he is a Badass Biker. Susie's puppet fighter will appear alongside him as a reinforcement, referencing Susie's betrayal and team-up with Lancer, which she later grows out of.
  • King of Spades is represented by a white King K. Rool, a fellow Adipose Rex and tyrannical king. He favors using Crownerang as well as grabs and throws to reference his throwing abilities and harpoon.
  • Jevil has increased movement speed and is easily distracted by items, being shooting weapons. All shooting items have increased power, referencing Jevil's fight being yet another challenging Bullet Hell. His puppet fighter is Sonic, which shouldn't be surprising as not only does the hedgehog's blue coloration and quills resemble Jevil's outfit, but the franchise is just as meta-aware as Jevil himself.

  • Madeline is represented by Pink Villager on Summit, which is basically the titular mountain of Celeste. This villager has increased air mobility, an additional jump and Instadrop. The Stage also has dangerously high winds, which the puppet figher is immune to. Occasionally, strawberry shortcakes will spawn. Once obtained, Madeline is a support spirit that grants increased air mobility.
  • Monokuma is Dark Toon Link, but before he appears, the player must defeat a Pink Inkling (representing Danganronpa's famous pink blood). Toon Link is armed with a Final Smash and a Golden Hammer from the onset, because they're looking to execute the one who killed the Inkling.

  • Sae Kurosawa is an Ace-class Primary Spirit who is represented by Dark Samus in her white costume (as Dark Samus has the most ghostly animations of the cast) and can be found in the Lost Woods in World of Light. Sae's attack power is boosted and the player occasionally takes serious damage.
  • Big Smoke is an Ace-class King K. Rool in his default color, who starts off with super armor and a Home-Run Bat. Since GTA's selling points are the weapons and the cars, the stage is Port Town Aero Dive, and Ray Guns or Super Scopes randomly spawn.
  • The main antagonist of Just Shapes & Beats (in their first form) is represented by a pink Incineroar, since they're technically a cat, accompanied by Snake (representing Barracuda, a stage that features lots of snakes), Piranha Plant (representing Lycanthropy and its Foul Flower) and Jigglypuff (representing Close To Me), all in their pink alts. The fight takes place on Battlefield 75M to represent the game's sparse backgrounds, and Killing Edges spawn, since they turn pink when most deadly. There's a poison floor to represent the game's Collision Damage, and the music for the fight is randomly picked from the electronic tunes in the soundtrack. The Spirit itself is Ace level; it can be enhanced at level 99 to the antagonist's second or final form, which boosts fist attacks.

When defeated, the spirit makes you giant.
  • Rogue Squadron has the player fighting against Fox (Representing Luke or Wedge) and Two Falcos (Usually the two wingmen in Rogue Leader and Rebel Strike). They'll be able to unleash their Final Smash more quickly (either they're FS meter fills faster or able to unleash it at will) and fought on Lylat Cruise.
  • Showdown Bandit is a Novice-level Primary Spirit. He is represented by a cyan Lucas (the joke being that both characters are voiced by Lani Minella) and moves slowly, yet starts with an enhanced Ray Gun.
  • Sakuya Izayoi is an Ace-level Primary Spirit. She is represented by a dark blue Sheik who spams her neutral special and is gravitated towards regularly spawning Timers.
  • TY the Tasmanian Tiger is represented by Red Toon Link and fights with boomerangs in the Great Bay stage.

When defeated the spirit grants gravity change immunity.
  • Yeah, Jam and Fury are an Ace-class Support Spirit that are represented by a yellow Ness, a cyan Sonic and a white Incineroar on Super Mario Maker. Yeah starts with a POW Block, Jam starts with a Hammer and Fury's physical attacks are boosted. When equipped, they majorly increase stats after eating (referencing their love for mangoes).
  • Yooka-Laylee will be represented by Banjo & Kazooie equipped with a Screw Attack. Being a Spiritual Successor of the original duo, it makes perfect sense.
  • The Kid (not to be confused with the other The Kid mentioned earlier) would be a Novice Spirit represented by a blue Toon Link equipped with a Ray Gun on Green Greens. It's a stamina match and Toon Link only has one HP. And in case that sounds too complicated to you, it also rains Bob-ombs at some point. Nevertheless, once in the player's hand, The Kid is a support spirit that gives a Critical-Health Attack boost.
  • Onky is represented by a yellow, pink, orange, and green Kirby, respectively the colors of male, female, child, and baby onkys. Depending on which order you defeat them, the remaining Kirbies get different buffs, referencing how items in the GROW games level up in different ways depending on the order you use them. As a Support Spirit, Onky grants Transformation Duration Up, again referencing leveling up and how it often transforms the characters.

    Anime/Manga characters
  • Izuku Midoriya/Deku is a green Lucario, fought in a Stamina Battle to represent how using his power takes a toll on his body. As Deku channels One For All, Lucario's aura has increased power and gains increased attack and speed after a little while. His spirit gives Trade-Off Stats to represent the aforementioned Power at a Price.
  • All Might is a yellow Donkey Kong who always has increased attack and speed, since he's been using One For All more than Deku has. Anyway, he is a primary spirit who gives increased attack.

Your fighter's attack power will lower after a while, representing Aizawa's ability to stop Quirk effects from manifesting (as shown when he nullified Shigaraki's Decay at that point before it could do any more damage) as well as his controlling nature.
  • All for One is represented by a giant Snake in his black costume. The choice is an Actor Allusion: Akio Ohtsuka is well known for voicing both of them. He will frequently use his down throw, which puts you in a downed state like how All For One leaves his victims helpless as he steals their Quirks. As the fight progresses, his attack power increases after a while to signify his newfound strength from stealing powerful Quirks. He is a Neutral primary spirit who gives higher attack.

  • Kinnikuman / King Muscle is represented by a Blue Incineroar.

  • Haruka Haruno, Minami Kaido, Kirara Amanogawa, and Towa Akagi from Go! Princess Pretty Cure could appear as a whole team as, collectvely, a Legend-class spirit. Their puppet fighters would be Peach, Daisy, Rosalina, and a red-alt Zelda, respectively, since they bear some resemblence. They would gain sudden Final Smashes since those are their finishers, and their physical, aerial, and magical attacks all gain increased power since they're Magical Girls who specialize in hand-to-hand combat. You gain an ally in the form of a giant, black-alt Bowser, who serves as a stand-in for a Zetsuborg, but even it won't last long against them. They also tend to chain together their Final Smashes to help simulate their group finishers.

Others / Uncategorized
  • Popuko and Pipimi's battle starts with the default Inkling Girl and Boy, whose hair colors match the girls. They are fought in PictoChat 2, the stage with the most random stage events in the game, to represent the show's creativity and unpredictability. Since the girls are known for being portrayed by many famous seiyuu throughout the series, an army of many different fighters will show up during the battle. The playable fighters that appear are the ones voiced by seiyuu who participated in Pop Team Epic as seen on the "Characters" page: Female Corrin, Lucina, Chrom, Pichu, Little Mac and Lucario have appeared in the first season, Bayonetta, Cloud, Roy and Marth appeared in the TV specials and Snake appeared in Takeshobo Quest.
